When you just don't seem to " fit in"?
I just dont seem to "fit in" with the job market in AZ. I am working very hard to find a job and I have not been able to find a job, it has been very difficult.
I job seek just about every day and go to the dept of labor to look for jobs and I completed the voc rehab testing as well. I do have good credentials and have certifications. I also hand out resumes to offices.
My question is what is a person to do who just has a hard time fitting in with the world and surroundings around me in regard to getting hired for a job? What are companies looking for in a job candidate these days?
If a person has a tendecy to be very talkative and loves a social environment was is a good career field?
I moved from a very liberal state New York to a very conservative state Arizona and I love it here but having a hard time getting used to the culture and how hiring is done out here. The process is much slower than to get a job in NY.
What is your take on this?
There are many cultures on the same street in the same town. I have never visited AZ. I suggest that you look into employment in public relations, including opportunities with music and art outlets. State Film Commission, the state federation native art dealers and similar organizations who have an artistic or cultural favor to their product. Don't mean to phrase the above remarks so bluntly. You have a soft soul, as I infer from your comments. You would be a better fit with the artistic community than selling Caterpillar heavy equipment. I think a talkative person is demonstrating both a social talent and an interest in the topic at hand. Good luck to you in your job search. I would like to see you find a network of "transplants" from those "evil liberal states" with whom to network!!
