Two game and four game series in baseball stupid?

I think its stupid that in a four game series one team outplays the other and it almost always ends up tied. Its also stupid that in two game series nobody really benefits because its only two games. Mathametically to play 162 games you only need one 4 game series a year and every other series can be a 3 game series. Do you think they should have less four and two game serieses?
