Proof Silver

is this Dime Proof silver?

Hello, I found in change a 1992-s dime. I'm pretty sure it's a proof, but I'm not sure if its silver...the edge is totally silver colored like a pre 1964 dime...no copper coming through..can anyone tell me what this is?

i weighed it and several regular dimes on the same scale...the coper dimes came out to 2.3, and this 1992-s dime came out at three different weights....2.5, 2.6, 2.7, i don't know why it came out to different weights, but it was never below 2.5....also, the other dimes i weighed on the scale also never came out to be under 2.5, and all the copper dimes never came out to be more than 2.3....

Yes, it's a proof. Circulation coins are made only at Denver and Philadelphia. Judging by the weight (you don't have a good scale if You Get three different results, but it's good enough here), it's the Silver Proof.

Finding it in circulation makes it an 'impaired proof' with less value than an untouched one. What the future value will be can't be answered but it'll always be worth at least the silver.
