what are the 2 coins in my pocket if they equal 10 cent and you cant use a nickel ?
There are several possible answers
10 pennies
1 dime
3 three-cent pieces, and 1 penny
2 three-cent pieces, and 4 pennies
2 three-cent pieces, and 2 two-cent pieces
1 three-Cent Piece, and 7 pennies
1 three-cent piece, and 1 two-cent pieces, and 5 pennies
1 three-cent piece, and 2 two-cent pieces, and 3 pennies
1 three-cent piece, and 3 two-cent pieces, and 1 penny
5 two-cent pieces
4 two-cent pieces, and 2 pennies
3 two-cent pieces, and 4 pennies
2 two-cent pieces, and 6 pennies
1 two-cent piece, and 8 pennies
And those combinations dont even include the ½-cent piece.
And, yes, the US mint did in fact produce ½, 2, and 3 cent pieces. They are no longer minted, but still hold their monetary value. Plus some, since they are also rare collectibles now. They have also produced 5 dollar coins, 10 dollar coins and I believe 20 dollar coins (and, no, Im not talking about those stupid "made for trading only" bogus artificial coins... I am talking about real consumer circulating coinage)

You cannot have two coins only that equal Ten Cents with neither being a nickel. You CAN have two DIFFERENT coins, but NOT two coins
