Rainy Day Kitty Cat has no idea what he is talking about. The goverment has never had problems with dimes. The 1942 dime on Ebay may be the 1942/41 die variety, if so it is scarce. Even in High Mint state the regular 1942 dime retails for less than $70.00. Coins have gone up in price over the years, so now, so called investors are trying to make a quick buck. They have no idea what they are doing and in the end will lose money. You have common coins that are not scarce so are not worth a lot.It would have been nice to have listed the date of the Indian cent as well as the others. Who knows you may have an 1877 Indian. Coins are a lot of fun and I do make money as a collector, but I also have read many books on the subject and know my coins. I stay away from Ebay, to many coins to go through and a lot of them are fakes. Ebay does not police itself right and coin collector groups, as well as antique groups are having issues with them. Keep your coins they can only go up in value as time passes. It is also against the law at this time, to sell cents or nickels to be melted. The mint just put the clamp down the other day.
