Will my baseball cards gain in value?

I have two ken griffy Jr rookie baseball cards that have been encased their entire lives, rated at gem mint 9, now that he his retired will the cards start to become more valuable?
What about mark mcguire, no Jackson or barry bonds baseball cards?

Griffeys RCs have been mass produced. There's even rumors that UD did a 2nd printing that consisted of sheets of that card. There's way too much supply of that card to be considered a good investment.
Folks should consider the joy of the hobby as their motivation to collect ... doing it for investment opens the door for disappointment.
