How large were ancient Chinese coins?
I've been doing some research, and I seem to be finding answers like 23mm and stuff like that. I have trouble imagining how a coin a fifth of centimeter in diameter could be practical. So how large are these coins actually?
Thanks for your time.
Sheets of gold were often 3 to 5 mm thick. Most of the Ancient Coin sizes were 25 mm (0.985 inch) and 37 mm (1.46 inch) wide and weighed from just under 1 to almost 5 grams.
